Cloud Setup

Get started with SpaceDF’s managed cloud platform - no infrastructure setup required. Our cloud platform handles all the technical complexity, so you can focus on tracking and managing your IoT devices.

Free Beta Access: During our beta phase, you get up to 50 devices for free to help you test and implement SpaceDF for your IoT projects.

1. Create Your Account

To get started, create a free SpaceDF account. You can sign up with your email or use quick authentication with Google or Apple.

Sign up at: https://spacedf.com/en/auth/sign-up 

Account Details

When creating your account:

  • Email: Your primary contact email (will be used for admin access)
  • Password: Choose a secure password for your account
  • Quick Options: Sign up with Google or Apple for faster registration

This account will have Admin permissions to perform all operations within your workspace.

2. Create Your First Organization

An organization acts as the main container for your devices, users, and tracking spaces. Each organization is isolated and can have its own settings, users, and white-label customization.

Add New Organization

In your workspace, click the “Add Organization” button to get started.

Organization Setup Process

  1. Organization Name: Enter a descriptive name for your organization
  2. Slug Name: Auto-generated URL-safe name (cannot be changed later)
  3. Template Selection: Choose from our ready-to-use templates:
    • Smart Fleet Monitor: For vehicle and asset tracking
    • Smart Building: For indoor positioning and facility management
    • Smart City: For urban infrastructure monitoring
  4. Finalization: Wait a few seconds for your organization to be created

Template Selection: Choose the template that best matches your use case. You can always customize and modify the configuration later, but the template provides optimized defaults for your specific industry.

3. Access Your Workspace

Once you create your SpaceDF account and first organization, your workspace will be generated automatically. The workspace serves as your central hub where you can manage and view all your organizations in one place.

Your workspace provides:

  • Organization Overview: See all your organizations at a glance
  • Quick Actions: Add new organizations or access existing ones
  • Account Management: Access settings and billing information

4. Invite Users to Your Organization

After creating your organization, you can invite team members to collaborate. Each user can be assigned specific roles and permissions based on your organizational needs.

User Management Features

  • Role-Based Access: Assign Admin, Manager, or Viewer roles
  • Permission Control: Customize what each user can see and do
  • Team Collaboration: Multiple users can work within the same organization
  • Email Invitations: Send direct invitations to team members

User Roles: Admin users have full access to organization settings, device management, and user invitations. Managers can handle devices and spaces, while Viewers have read-only access to dashboards and data.

5. Configure Account Settings (Optional)

You can adjust your privacy information and account details by clicking on your Avatar at the top-right corner and selecting Account Settings.

Available Settings

  • Profile Information: Update your name and contact details
  • Privacy Settings: Configure data sharing preferences
  • Notification Preferences: Manage email and platform notifications
  • Security Settings: Update passwords and enable two-factor authentication
